winter in NC
We have had a real taste of winter last night and today. About a 1/2 inch of snow - not too bad. Very windy - a huge branch broke off by our house. Very cold - teens this morning with high winds and flurries. It feels like January! More snow than all of last year.
Timmy and Gabby were very excited! This morning Gabby got up early, had breakfast, dressed and went outside. Dave said "Where is Gabby?" She was already outside! He put some more clothes on her and sent her back out. Later, both Tim and her went outside and disappeared! They decided to do the 10 minute walk to the creek to see if the water froze solid! Dave didn't know where they went - so he drove down to pick them up - it was too cold to be out for so long!
2008!!
Well, that is hard to believe - 2008!
One New Year's Resolution - to keep up to date with my blog. So here comes my first post of the year.

A Dream Come True
Gabby finally meets Aurora - Sleeping Beauty. She is her favorite - she has 3 Aurora costumes at home, and is dressed up in one to meet her. We ate breakfast at the Akerhaus in Epcot - Norway for the princess breakfast. We also saw Belle - beauty and the beast, Mulan, Snow White, and Ariel - the little mermaid.
AK - tree of life
There is a secret trail - meaning nobody else is on it - that leads you all around this incredible tree. It fascinates me.
Some animals - a walrus above Timmy's head. On the tree - on the far left side is a turtle, then next to it is a gorilla face. Up in the branches is a rhino. Below that is snake. There is an ant in the middle roots. Facing to the right is a tiger face, below that is a raven, and above it is a porcupine, then a crane, then squirrel.
Day 5 - Animal Kingdom
Due to the cold, we decided we would freeze at the water parks - so we changed plans. We ended up doing Animal Kingdom when it opened. It was one of our best days.
This was the cutest thing that happened. We had no plan or agenda this day - very impromtu. We noticed that the character landing would be opening in about 10 minutes, so we decided to wait - there was only one family in front of us. When it opened, Pooh came out took the hand of the child in front of us and walked her to the stage. Then Eeyore came out and took Timmy and Gabby's hands, and walked them to the stage. It was so darling. OK - now the funny part. Eeyore is a very big "animal" and can't see where he is going. Poor Timmy - was pushed into the wall and rope many times. He kept looking back at us - meaning "help me!"
